Rob James – Owner & Managing Director

Previously a Lloyds broker, Rob James escaped the city and set up Plantation Shutters, which he now runs from his showroom in Putney.
From small beginnings cutting shutter panels down to size on a saw bench in his drawing room and fitting them himself, Rob's passion for shutters has helped the company to grow and grow. He now owns a prestigious show room in Putney, from where the business has developed and evolved to become market leaders in the field.



Sophie Urry - Manager

Sophie works closely with the team ensuring the smooth running of office administration, systems, procedures and appointments.

Claudia Spiby – Sales Assistant

Claudia brings her experience of running Fired Earth showrooms to the team and is now turning her hand to selling plantation shutters. She is the force behind the scenes, the integral link between the client and the fitting team. She is the voice at the end of the telephone to advise you, quote for you, take your order and generally help you with your shutter choice.

Danny Bergin – Surveyor

Danny has been the measurer for Plantation Shutters for the last 11 years, and knows all there is to know about shutters. Once you are ready to go ahead with an order he will come to your house, measure your windows, show you samples and talk through all the options with you.

Philip Webb – Fitting Manager

Phil heads up the in-house team of fitters, and has been fitting shutters for the company with skill and professionalism for over 11 years.

Vince Samuel – Senior Fitter

Vince is a skilled fitter of shutters who has been with the company for over 8 years. His attention to detail is exceptional.

Jason Cater – Surveyor

Jason who joined the team 5 years ago has fitted shutters for over 7 years and is now working alongside Danny. He will measure your windows and advise you on materials, styles and finishes.

Ben O’Donnell – Fitter

An important member of the fitting team, Ben has over 4 years' experience at fitting shutters.
