Why Window Shutters Are The Missing Piece of Your Home

Window shutters have remained a part of people’s homes for centuries now and in all that time have maintained themselves as a staple fixture of style and functionality. Whether in a traditional sense such as the Victorian houses of old that still stand or the sleek, metallic apartments of today.

And of course, with time moving on, interior styling has moved on with it. As people are well aware, there is no singular design for people’s homes anymore. Even the traditional homeowner likes some form of Scandinavian minimalism in the living room now.

Interior Design Bloggers at the House and Garden Festival 2017

We can’t stress enough how much we enjoyed running around the House and Garden Festival last week. We had an outstanding time and moving on from our chit chat about the fantastic work of Natalia Miyar’s and Studio Duggan’s interior spaces we now have to go into the spectacular Style Rooms.

The Style Rooms have been a part of the House and Garden festival for quite some time and are an excellent opportunity for the biggest and the best bloggers of the lifestyle and interior design world to put their skills and knowledge to the test.

The Decoration Spaces - House and Garden Festival 2017

We had the pleasure of heading up to Kensington Olympia to gawk at the outstanding offerings of the House and Garden Festival 2017. A festival where green-fingered maestros and insightful interior designers come to together to show us how it’s done.

And yet again the festival didn’t disappoint. The huge arena at the Kensington Olympia was full of outstanding works of architects, artists, interior designers, landscape designers, clothing companies, even the odd organic fruit seller and so many more.

What Colour Finish Should I Choose For My Shutters?

How Are They Actually Going To Look?

The all-important question at the end of the day when it comes to buying shutters for your home. We’ve always claimed that window shutters represent an investment in your homes’ outlook. And as this has a pinpoint effect on you, we know you want to see how your choice of stunning shutters will look once they’re up. So we’ve put together sets of images and some information to help you out.

Clerkenwell Design Week 2017

Taking time out from our usually manic work, we took the chance to go out and see what this year's Clerkenwell Design Week had to offer. And we weren’t disappointed.

The sun was out so there was no excuse really to go out and see what some of the leading designers of the world had brought to the plate this year. This year was a stunning mix between the fun and the beautiful sides of the design. With structures created to inspire the fresh generation of designers and stun the veterans of the profession into silence.

Not Heard of Houzz? Here's Why You Should Get Involved.

With the world of social media training for the number of inspiration sources for all sorts of things from interior design to gardening, everything feels slightly…stifling.

People who need that inspiration, the little nudge, just need space to breathe. Go about their search at their own speed and not have to dig through pages and pages of set spaces. Trying to be as loud as possible amongst other people trying to be as loud as possible just to get a minute bit of notice. 1 like.
