Going back to work may mean you no longer have the time to completely renovate your home, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a bit of a refresh. Each new season provides the perfect opportunity to redesign your home a little and Autumn is quickly approaching. With the kids back to school, you back at work and the fact we’re almost on the run up to Christmas (it’s September, we’re now officially allowed to say the C-word) you may find it impossible to find the time for a refurb.
Don’t worry though, we’ve got you! We’ve thought of five small ways you can breathe some new life into your interiors, without a total renovation, without breaking the bank and without spending hours scrolling through Pinterest or cutting up interiors magazines.
If you’re really strapped for time or cash, then adding accessories into your room is a sure-fire way to breathe life into a tired room or create a completely new style. Go for clashing prints and bright colours for a pop art, contemporary style. Add potted plants and animal prints for a tropical vibe or think about geometric shapes, faux-fur and minimal designs for a Scandinavian inspired look.
Add a splash of colour
Painting what was once a plain wall a new colour can completely transform the aesthetic of a room. Go bold if you really want to stand out or choose a complimentary, soft tone for a more subtle look. If you’re not quite ready to get the paint rollers out, it’s easy to create a similar style by adding colours in other ways. Why not add coloured cushions, a wall hanging or even splash out on a new piece of bold furniture.
