Celebrate your Mum this Mother's Day

Celebrate your Mum this Mother's Day

There’s always something going on in London and even more so this weekend as it is the day we celebrate the most wonderful woman in our lives. Our Mother. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t be alive today so remember this Sunday, and every day in fact, to show her how much you love and appreciate her. We have put together a small list of great places to take your mum this Sunday.

Kick back and relax with this home-cooked Mother’s Day banquet of 10 delicious courses for either lunch or dinner at Room 43 in Clapham Junction. Enjoy some live Jazz, Stand-up Comedy and Prosecco while you feast. Be sure to book and it is £30 per person.

Give mum the gift of afternoon tea with a twist. Rock Cab Tour and The Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel have joined forces to create a unique Rock and Roll gastronomic experience. You will begin with the 2-hour tour of famous musical landmarks made famous by The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, David Bowe and others in a traditional London Black Cab. After taking a ride through London’s musical history you will then be taken back to the very first Rock’n’Roll hotel, The Karma Sanctum Soho to indulge yourself in a luxurious afternoon tea with your choice of a cocktail of whiskey and a cigar on the exclusive rooftop terrace. This amazing experience costs £99 per person and is available for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 5 people.

Another place to enjoy a Mother’s Day Brunch is at Two Spoons. Spoil your mum with a glass of bubbly on arrival, some savoury and sweet treats displayed on cake stands, unlimited tea and coffee, bottomless gin punch and a choice of wine or beer. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday. Reservations are required prior to Sunday and costs £35 per adult and £12.50 per child.

If your mum is a little for artsy then you can take her to a Floral Making Masterclass and Afternoon Tea at St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel.  Over the whole weekend, you can learn how to make paper flower bouquets while drinking wine and enjoying afternoon tea filled with mini salmon pancakes, cucumber sandwiches and other sweet treats such as Paris-Brest-Paris Choux, strawberries and cream and of course the classic scones with jam and cream. Tickets cost £105 per person.

Another arty thing to do with your mother this weekend is the Mother’s Day Painting Class in South Kensington. Enjoy some nibbles and prosecco while learning how to create, to the sound of music. Don’t worry though, you don’t need to be a pro, their wonderful teacher Nanda will guide you through the art process and help you let the music take over and connect with your emotions which translates into a language with its rhythms, vibrations and beats. Tickets are £50 per person.

So, here is our small selection of wonderful things to do with your mum this weekend and there are defiantly plenty more out there, so get out this Sunday and spoil your mum and let her know you love her!
