On Wednesday, we ventured down to Focus 18, part of The London Design Festival. Focus is hosted at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour and welcomes both trade and retail visitors from across the globe.
The show is dedicated and aimed at informing and delivering the best design inspirations and world-class talent within the industry. We were extremely impressed and almost overwhelmed by the design on show throughout Focus 18. A mixture of colours, textures, patterns and shapes. This year, the event celebrated colour and its positive power with ‘Journey of Colour’, an engaging and interactive installation by Artist Moritz Waldemeyer.
The installation was an immersive exploration into colour, tone, and movement. Wallpaper stole our attention throughout the show. Cole & Son’s hand-painted botanical range, inspired by the English landscape and the seasons. There were strong references of bluebells, roses, allium, wisteria painted across the wallpaper designs, overall a romantic and charismatic feel. House of Hackney delivered a French inspired and influenced collection of wallpaper and accessories.
