We have some very exciting news coming up next month. Our shutters will be making an appearance as part of the first Breast Cancer Research: Holiday House London event this November!
The Holiday House London will showcase some of the best talent in London’s vast network of interior designers in the same style that New York has done for the past ten years at the Academy Mansion. The inaugural event will be hosted in two neighbouring mansions in London, very near the world famous Abbey Road, BBC Maida Vale Studios and Lord’s Cricket Ground that are currently on sale for £23 million each. So why not have a nosey peek around to see how the other half live.
The annual event was founded in 2008 by Iris Danker and features a plethora of interior design and lifestyle branding talent who all work on their respective rooms for free, as are all the pieces that they incorporate into their work. All in order to create the masterpieces that prove their talent and their hard work.
Joyce Misrahi and Rachel Laxer, along with Grant Pierrus have committed their considerable time and talent to ensure the great success of Holiday House London as ambassadors to the charity and organisers for the event itself with Grant Pierrus putting his talent as an interior design blogger (Interior Design Hunter) into the marketing of the event.
The event itself will incorporate the work of 25 interior designers in a series of rooms throughout the two houses and in a cross section of different styles and tastes, coming together to create something that every interior design lover or worker can enjoy and take something from. And it’s the lovely people at Turner Pocock, who asked us to take part, and of course we did, providing a set of made to measure Full Height shutters for one of the bedrooms which we are very excited about seeing. With the event running open to the public from the 9th November until the 10th of December, there is no excuse not to go have a look, especially for such an incredible cause.
