When the sun starts to shine, we begin to get excited for the fast-approaching summertime and start thinking about how to make sure our interiors are ready for the summer months. Usually we’d seek the opportunity to pile into garden centres and home stores to browse and start purchasing everything we need to get our homes summer ready, but many are reluctant to visit stores to avoid long ques and to travel out. If that's the case, here’s some tips on re-vamping your home, without leaving house, ready for summer.
Utilise online platforms
There are so many online resources available for interior inspiration for you to browse non-made-to-measure products and purchase directly online. You can have these orders delivered directly to you or alternatively arrange for collection to avoid spending too much time within shops and around other customers.
Many retailers have adjusted their working style to accommodate non-contact shopping styles so although it’s tempting to be drawn to large companies who have always offered an online or collection service, don’t forget about your smaller local and independent retailers as they will need your business and support more than ever – you also have the benefit of a more personalised, friendly service which sometimes larger corporations are unable to provide.
These smaller retailers are especially fantastic for unique purchases where one-off statement pieces are readily available and as the stores see less business traffic, you are less likely to come across duplicates of your new talking piece at friends or family’s homes.
