Bring some of the outside in with a nature-themed table. From pinecones and chestnuts to pine tree twigs and faux cranberries. If you have an exposed wooded table this style would work great for you. Ditch the tablecloth and show off your beautiful table. Centre the table with a long garland centrepiece going from one end of the table to the other and then stagger tall candles and candelabras or mini pinecone trees wrapped in brown burlap cloth down the table. In the centre of the table get a large glass trifle bowl and fill it with pinecones, walnuts (still in their shells), chestnuts, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices placed around the side of the bowl and top with faux cranberries. You can also scatter the faux cranberries and mini ‘snow’ dipped pine cones down the table amongst the garland. For the place settings use burlap cloth as the placemat and then top with white dinnerware. Top the plate with a long cinnamon stick and a pine tree twig and then the name card on the top or tied to the pine. We can just smell the natural Christmas scents coming from this table.

If you're a fan of sparkling and white, a Winter Wonderland setting would be for you. Start by lining your table with a white tablecloth, then down the centre place small monochrome flower arrangements, then white candles either on their own or you can place them in mason jars on top of fake snow or white sand. Then sprinkle white and gold stars all the way down the table. You can also add a bit of extra sparkle with a string of fairy lights down the centre of the table and add a touch of colour with some greenery spread down the centre. For the place settings use white dinnerware and gold cutlery. Atop the plate, place a rolled up a white napkin and tie it with a thin gold bow and place a little gingerbread house with or without your guests' name next to the wine glasses.

If you like all things traditional then why not use traditional colours and styles. Use a white or red tablecloth as the base and then add your other colours on top. Centre the table with greenery such as pine or seeded eucalyptus and pomegranates or odd sized red candles. Or even fill mason jars with cranberries and pine sticking out of the top or red candles. You could even fill large clear vases with red and gold baubles and gold tinsel and place them along the centre of the table. The glittery contents will bounce candlelight around the room. Match the red from the centre display to the red placemats and then a red dinner plate and white side plate on top. Tie either a red or white napkin with the opposite colour ribbon and a pine or eucalyptus twig and a stem of faux cranberries, placed in the bow. Finally, place the classic Christmas cracker above the plate.
The options are endless, so we hope we have helped with your table setting inspiration.
