Most of our installations are based in London and the surrounding areas, however every now and then our experts travel further afield to install shutters for our wonderful customers who live outside of this London area.
Chepstow is a stunning south wales area a short trip across the Severn bridge and with bridge fees scrapped we definitely feel more connected to this beautiful location. We love the opportunity to explore alternative locations and working on homes outside of our usual areas allowing us transform stunning windows across the UK and giving us an insight at how interior trends work in alternative home styles.
Of our standard popular materials, Pearlwood is the most luxurious as the whole shutter from panels to framing are made from full wood materials allowing for a lightweight and textured grain finish on the shutter. This stunning material is a particularly popular choice to be used consistently across multiple rooms in the home and opens up the possibility of staining colour finishes.
Matching wonderfully with the walls, the shutters have been finished in our painted sea mist option. This soft grey colour provides a lovely finish to the room and pairs beautifully with the interiors chosen by the client adding a great final touch to the windows and rooms. We are seeing an increase in the use of grey shutters at the moment and it’s not hard to see why. Grey is a great colour choice to add a modern tone to the shutters and room, diverting from common white colour choices without overwhelming the décor and keeping the pallet neutral.
Full height shutters with a divider rail are seen across all of the shutters pictured (living room doors, living room windows and kitchen windows). Divider rails provide structural support to shutters and to add an extra functionality. When a divider rail is featured in a panel the slat sections are split either side of the added rail. This means that one slat section can be opened whilst the other remains closed if preferred, enhancing benefits such as privacy offered by the shutters. Instead of tilting slats to allow light into the room whilst obstructing views into the area, bottom slats can be closed whilst top slats remain open which allows light to still shine through but the bottom view is completely blocked.
76mm slats feature in all shutters installed throughout the home. This size is the perfect mix of the sizes available as it falls between our smaller 64mm slat and larger 89mm. We do have alternative sizes in our 47mm and 114mm slats but these choices are very rarely selected due to their more extreme sizing.
