Oxford vs Cambridge by Plantation Shutters Ltd

The Boat Race 2019

Being sports buffs here at Plantation Shutters, we are excited to see the outcome of this Sundays much anticipated Boat Race between Oxford University and Cambridge University.

The Boat Race is one of London’s oldest sporting events that started in 1829. Two of England’s elite universities, Oxford and Cambridge, take to the water in a nail-biting 4.2-mile rowing race beginning at Putney Bridge and finishing Chiswick Bridge known as The Championship Course. Thousands of fans line the Thames each year to see who the winner will be. The first official race will begin at 2.10 pm between the woman’s team and then the men will take to the water at 3.10 pm, but festivities start at 12 pm with some warm-up races. Be sure to head down early to get a good spot and see who will take home the trophy this year.

Who do you think will be the winner this year, Cambridge or Oxford?
