Membership Criteria for British Institute of Interior Design Industry Partnership
Plantation Shutters Ltd has been an Industry Partner of BIID for few years now but do you know what it takes to get it? Requirements for Industry Partner are as follows:
- Minimum of 5 years trading
- 1 year of accounts demonstrating a sound financial base
- Website of good quality
- Two reputable designer/architect references with a minimum two years knowledge
- High quality products and/or services, which are relevant to the industry
Industry Partner membership is a great opportunity to gain commercial advantage. The Industry Partner Committee (made up of Industry Partners) has strengthened the criteria to ensure a high standard of entry. Companies are encouraged to engage fully with the membership by undertaking sponsored events and provide Continued Professional Development (CPD) lectures.
Associate Industry Partner
Where a company is unable to meet the minimum criteria for Industry Partner membership but can demonstrate that their membership will be to the advantage of the Institute and its designer members. This level of membership has reduced benefits whilst working towards Industry Partner level. Companies must have a minimum of 2 years trading and send full accounts for the last financial year demonstrating a sound financial base.
Companies may remain at this level for a maximum period of four years.
