Plantation Shutters can fit perfectly in any house design from Edwardian period properties to ultra modern houses. Over the years our experienced team have fitted a wide range of properties and shutters for a large variety of design tastes, there’s not much we haven’t seen. In a recent lifestyle fitting, we assisted customers in Manor Park to achieve a seamless window dressing for their refurbished Victorian property.
Manor Park is a residential area, located at the gate of Epping Forest and sitting alongside the grasslands of Wanstead Park. Residents of the area are spoilt for the large green areas surrounding them. The area is also well known for West Ham Park and of course the West Ham football club.
The shutters were installed in the bedrooms and living rooms after an at home visit by one of our highly experienced surveyors. Our clients opted for the Craftwood MDF, a fantastic entry level option which doesn’t compromise on build quality. This shutter material is popular for the majority of rooms, as it is resistant to chipping, cracking, fading and warping; therefore it is a great long lasting window dressing option.
In the bedrooms, the clients chose full height shutters for ultimate privacy. This style shutter cover the entire area of the window, and is also one of most popular and flexible installation styles. In the bay window, as shown pictured above, the clients opted for tier on tier style shutters. Tier on tier shutters also cover the entire window but there are independent top and bottom panels, which open like a stable door. This style shutter is ideal for separate control over each panel allowing for total privacy or full light to flow through the top panel, whilst maintaining privacy with the bottom section closed.
The clients chose our classic range of louvers, as this is what they previously had installed and really liked the timeless look. Our classic range has smaller louvres compared to our In Vogue and Modern choices but add a cosy ambience in rooms. Upon suggestion, clients opted not to have a tilt rod to suit their minimalist style home. Finally, the colour finish of choice was silk white, which was a timeless option and blended perfectly for their property.
