Just a stone’s throw away from Tooting Bec Common and the second largest outdoor freshwater pool in Europe is our client, Andrew’s lovely home. Located in a beautiful tree-lined area in Streatham, Andrew wanted his home to stand out from the others around him with his new shutters.
Being in one of the many mews in London meant that all of Andrews neighbours could see into his home from the courtyard outside, so choosing to have shutters was a no-brainer. He wanted to still be able to allow the natural light into the rooms while getting the much need privacy, especially for their little boy’s room. Other rooms they got shutters in were the kitchen, master bedroom and office. They were all full height with a hidden break allowing Andrew and his family to move the top louvres independently from the bottom.
Andrew’s shutters are one of our most popular materials, Hardwood. It offers excellent value for money with the fantastic build quality and a beautiful finish. It provides a furniture-quality solid wood product with a paint finish across the shutters at an entry-level price, making it an excellent alternative to the premium hardwoods. He then opted for the In Vogue 76mm slat size which is not only incredibly stylish but also one of the larger slat sizes allowing for the maximum amount of light to brighten up the room. Finally, he chose our Silk White paint finish with white hinges so that it would melt into the space matching the colours of the wall seamlessly.
