London Design Week 2017 - Highlights

A key event in the interiors and property development industry is London Design Week at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.  This premier design and decoration destination is located in London’s heart – Chelsea Harbour.

The design centre lies within the Chelsea Harbour development, consisting of luxury apartments, the Chelsea harbour marina and the Chelsea Harbour 5 star hotel. It is best known for as being the world’s premier destination for design excellence and is often referred to as ‘couture’ for the home. The centre boasts 120 showrooms and is home to more than 600 of the worlds most luxurious and prestigious design brands, making it the largest of its kind in Europe.

Annually the design centre hosts the London Design Week. The event runs for a week, this year March 12-17. This influential event was packed with a large number of designers, architects, potential buyers, and media and of course industry trades people and part of our Plantation Shutters team had the opportunity of attending.

This year’s event celebrated the Designs DNA and many designers new spring collections. The event hosted a busy programme including showing of seasonal design directions, curated tours, workshops and conversations with some of the biggest names in design. The entire event was a well organised experience, with many fantastic exhibitors; our personal favourite was a Espresso Design with their new Bora appliance. The Espresso design team demonstrated the ease and beauty of cooking.

As always these events are a great way to see coming trends in the interiors and design industry, something our team plantation shutters is always conscious of to give you the best possible design advice and service.

This is second time I used this company. The result was fantastic. First time round and it has transformed the room.
