This apartment in Fulham went from rags to riches. It was fully renovated by our partners at BTL Properties ready for the luxury rental market. Being situated above the shops, providing privacy in the front room while still being able to let in natural light was an important factor for the client.
The apartment is decorated in such a way that maximizes the light and space by applying a neutral colour palette inspired by the Scandinavian interior style. Having the neutral pallet applied to the walls, floors and furnishings really open up the space giving the illusion of being a big area while also giving the sense of warmth and homeliness as well as protruding luxury.
Adding to the sophistication and luxury is our café style shutters. Pairing café shutters with curtains to a window not only let the natural light shine in while still having much-needed privacy, but it also provides that extra layer of warmth in the room when everything is closed. Shutters also help to keep a space cool in the summer by opening the window behind and having the shutters closed with the louvres open letting the breeze come through.

White Teak, which is our finest quality timber, were chosen for their shutters. It is a favourite amongst our customers who want nothing but the best and that is what our clients wanted for this home. They then got them custom colour matched to the walls and window sill, so they melted into space seamlessly and became part of the window itself. In Vogue (76mm) size louvres were also chosen to as they are a slightly larger slat size to our classic one which means there are fewer slats to provide a lighter and trendier yet simpler finish.
