Not that long ago if, you suggested that you bought a product from China or Taiwan, most would have delivered you a raised eyebrow and slightly perplexed look. Individual samples would be fine and enough, but you would never get the product right on a regular basis, and a lasting working relationship would not be feasible.
This may well be the case for many a manufacturer but has never been the case for our trusted manufacturer Nienmade. Rob, our founder, makes the journey to our manufacturer most years and has done since 2002. To say he was impressed 16 years ago by the skill and technological advances in the factory would be an understatement, and now during regular visits to the factory, things just keep getting better and better.
What is truly inspiring and unique about Nienmade, is that although there are definite developments, in state of the art technology and machinery, the key core values still revolve around and focus on craftsmanship and skill.
The different processes throughout the factory, combine traditional craftsmanship and skill with machinery and technology. When crafting special shapes, a simple hammer and chisel are used, much of checking and assembly and quality control is still carried out by hand, in general, the final steps to the process are led by skill and expertise over technological advances. Of course, leading up to the finished product, there are steps to include whereby technology is a must and necessary for productivity and production. Intricate painting processes are developed using high spec technology, the introduction of laser cutters and machinery strengthens the production line.
With craftsmanship comes an emotional connection and understanding within the factory floor. The Nienmade team are a close-knit development. With “The Boss” engaging directly with the factory and fully comprehending processes and developments, having a very hands-on approach. A unique characteristic for a company with over 7000 employees. The developments in technology would not be present if it weren’t for the emotional understanding of the environment and meticulous attention and focus paid to the advances.
