Surrounded by beautiful greenery and rivers down a quaint street lined with brick homes, you will find our client, Nick’s home. This home is full of charm from, of course, the brick wall to the spiral staircase and exposed wooden beams.
In the 1990s, the exposed brick wall became all the range mainly because it was a cost-effective decision to keep the wall exposed than to repair or replace them. Not to mention that it also looks wonderful and adds character to your home's interiors. It certainly shows in this home and matches the rustic furnishings making the space feel warm and inviting.
Seeing as Nick’s living room’s windows look out to the street below, he wanted to be able to preserve his privacy without having to compromise on blocking out the natural light with heavy curtains. He also wanted the same for his office and the bedroom windows. Our plantation shutters are the best solution for that because you can open the slats to let the light in but block out the noisy onlookers from the outside.
Nicks shutters are one of our most popular materials, Hardwood. It offers excellent value for money with the fantastic build quality and a beautiful finish. It provides a furniture-quality solid wood product with a paint finish across the shutters at an entry-level price, making it an excellent alternative to the premium hardwoods. He then opted for the Modern 89mm slat size which is not only incredibly stylish but also one of the larger slat sizes allowing for the maximum amount of light to brighten up the room. Finally, he chose our Pure White paint finish with white hinges so that it would melt into the space matching the colours of the wall seamlessly.
