In the heart of Chelsea not far from the river and Burton Court is this beautiful terraced home. Arranged over for floors with five bedrooms and two living spaces, this home is filled with a modern chic interior style making this family feel as though they are living in hotel luxury every day. We worked with BSBG in making this house a home for their clients with our plantation shutters.
MASTER BEDROOM
This room protrudes true beauty and elegance. You can’t help but feel the ultimate relaxation when in this room. Styled so beautifully, it truly feels as though you are in a 5-star hotel making you never want to leave. To complete the look and feel of this room while still matching the rest of the style of the home, our clients chose to have our full height shutters with a mid-rail to grace their windows. The reason for the mid-rail was because the windows are tall, and they offer as an added structural support as well as matching the aesthetics of the sash windows behind. The choice for shutters in this room was easy because they wanted to keep the beautiful light coming into the room while still having privacy. There’s nothing worse than trying to relax in your room and then noticing someone outside peering in as they pass by.
LIVING ROOM
Pearlwood – Full Height – Classic (64mm) – Silk White – White Hinges
Continuing from the elegance of the bedroom into the living room you can notice that no corner was forgotten. This square bay nook is the perfect spot to have extra seating space for the family to enjoy each other’s company. Again, shutters were the perfect solution for this window because as well as offering privacy they also save on space which was important for this nook. Having the shutters on these windows meant that the homeowners we able to still have their lamps and artwork displayed on the ledge above the radiator without worrying about long curtains or cords from blinds getting in the way.
The shutters that the clients chose were made from our White Teak range which has recently been discontinued and replaced with our amazing Ultra range. The slat size that was chosen was the Classic 64mm to match the classic feel of the home. It is a popular choice amongst our clients with its smaller louvre giving you a classic shutter finish. Finally, they chose one of our popular paint choices of Silk White with white hinges so that they would slightly stand out against the cream walls and match the window frames becoming a feature of the home without taking away too much of the focus from the rest of the room’s design.
