Situated in Streatham, an increasingly popular residential area of London in the Borough of Lambeth and extending partly into Wandsworth and Croydon, this beautiful flat has been fitted with interior Plantation Shutters in the kitchen-diner for a stunning window dressing solution. The flat finish and renovation has been designed by the talent of Huxley Land who we have the pleasure of frequently working with.
Pictured above, the Pure White colour selected makes for a stunning and clean colour to match the white kitchen fittings and also provides a timeless, built to last addition to the room. To match this Pure White colour, Brushed Nickel hinges have been used as a luxury addition to the shutters which also break up the all-white design making for a beautiful overall look.
Café style shutters are often used in kitchen-diner rooms as privacy can be maintained by closing panels and slats whilst plenty of light is still able to shine through into the room where total light blockage is not required. The traditional 64mm slat has been combined here with the modern choice to remove a tilt rod and operate slats via a tilt cog mechanism. No tilt rod is desirable in modern homes where a simple and minimalistic finish is preferable.HuxleyLand.com
