Shutters in Brighton by Plantation Shutters Ltd

Being such a largely populated town and popular tourist destination, privacy is a must for the residents on Brighton, which makes plenty of opportunity for us to work with many different kinds of people from all walks of life with different tastes and styles. The benefits of our interior window shutters are that they are custom made to measure and fit into any style and home.

Here at Plantation Shutters, we service a wide area around greater London. We have had projects stretching to not only Brighton but also the surrounding areas of Sussex, Surrey, Hertfordshire and of course Central London. With most of the homes in this area having large bay windows, this can make the home owners feel rather exposed to the outside world. So, whether you are looking for something to help you save some vital space, have more control over the natural light in your home or adding some much-needed privacy, our wooden shutters are the perfect solution.

If you love the beach, then Brighton is a great place for you. Brighton is full of fun activities for all ages from fish and chips on the beach and amusement rides on Brighton Pier to enjoying a cocktail or two with a view of the ocean. There is also an Old Police Cells Museum where you can take a glimpse into the past and many other entertaining activities.

The very first settlement of Brighton was Whitehawk Camp which was dated back between 3500 BC and 2700 BC. Over the decades the landscape of Brighton has vastly changed to the vibrant thriving town it is today, from the introduction of the railway in 1841 and Brighton Pier in 1899 to the many homes being built resulting in the population going from 7000 in 1801 to 120,000 in 1901. Some famous faces that have lived and or worked in Brighton are, author of The Snowman Raymond Briggs who taught at Brighton College, Monty Python actress Carol Cleveland and Charles Dickens wrote a few of his novels while visiting Brighton.

If you look to our news page, you’ll be able to see endless examples of how we’ve helped many people throughout the Brighton area as well as far beyond the borough with their windows. Have a look at a few examples of this in our shutter gallery.
