Shutters in Sussex by Plantation Shutters Ltd

Here at Plantation Shutters, we service a wide area around greater London. We have had projects stretching to Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hertfordshire and of course Central London. With most of the homes in this area having large bay windows, this can make the home owners feel rather exposed to the outside world. So, whether you are looking for something to help you save some vital space, have more control over the natural light in your home or adding some much-needed privacy, our wooden shutters are the perfect solution.

Being such a wide spread, ever developing county, with the highest quality of life for pensioners in England, there is plenty of opportunity for us to work with many different kinds of people from all walks of life with different tastes and styles. The benefits of our interior window shutters are that they are custom made to measure and fit into any style and home.

Much like Surrey and other parts of England and the South East, in particular, Sussex has a vast range of rolling countryside and ever-changing coastlines with a rich history. With plenty to keep you occupied, Sussex is a beautiful part of England. From shipwrecks and smugglers to castles, Sussex has it all. You can spend a day at Arundel Castle or take a stroll down Worthing Pier and enjoy some Fish’n’Chips. You can also visit the St Clements Caves in West Hill in Hastings and hear about the story of the smuggling on the South Coast of England that took place over 200 years ago.

Sussex has such a rich and diverse history blessed with an array of castles, historic houses, museums and fortresses displaying centuries of British History. Sussex has seen many battles over its history from the 1066 battle of Hastings to the Battle of Lewes in 1264. Sussex found itself to be the front line in the Hundred Years War and again during WWII, guarded by the Home Guard with help from the First Canadian Army. Nowadays, Sussex is a very peaceful place for people to visit for a relaxing holiday or even live. Some well-known people that have chosen to live in Sussex is actress Dame Julie Walters, comedian Eddie Izzard, fashion journalist Susannah Constantine, Harry Potter actor Mark Williams and England Former Cricketer Lewis Hatchett.
