Café style refers to al shutters that don’t cover the entire height of the window; they are situated at the bottom half of the window and don’t go the whole way up. Sitting in a 3-sided frame, on either side of the shutters and the bottom of your window, these shutters are perfect for window where you would like some additional privacy but without covering the entire window.
You can always rotate the slats to increase the light even further. When you fold the panels open, the framing allows for no evidence of framing to run across your windows. Café style is perfect for street facing communal rooms, they are the ideal solution to add some discretion when considering the room.
We have found that people tend not to use café style in bedrooms and as the top half of the window is uncovered, lots of light comes through.
Advantages of Café style:
- Half coverage on your windows
- Useful to Ground Floor Rooms
- 3-sided Framing
- Maximum light travels through
