Shutters for period features
Original sash windows, deep reveals and high ceilings all affect how a shutter should be built and mounted. We measure each window individually and talk through the options at your survey.
Bromley has some of London’s best-kept Victorian and Edwardian streets, plus larger detached and Tudor-style homes in Chislehurst, Bickley and Petts Wood. Period windows are often tall, deep-set or an unusual shape, so shutters need to be made-to-measure. That’s what we’ve done for 44 years, with our own in-house team from survey to fitting.
Original sash windows, deep reveals and high ceilings all affect how a shutter should be built and mounted. We measure each window individually and talk through the options at your survey.
In a larger home you’ll want the shutters to feel consistent from room to room. We can mix styles through the house, for example wooden in the front rooms and waterproof in the bathrooms, with a coordinated colour throughout.
Converted lofts get a lot of light and not much privacy. We make shutters for Velux and roof windows as well as standard windows.
Someone from our team visits you at home, measures every window (bays section by section) and talks you through style, material and finish. We can leave free colour swatches so you can try them against your walls. Your shutters are then made to order and fitted by our own team, with a warranty of up to 10 years.
